Steroid injection for bone spavin

Any idea how long a horse is off work for with a steroid injection for bone spavin please?

The horse in question is due an joint injection following sucessful completion of his initial treatment two years ago. I've booked him in in a couple of weeks when he is at the yard to inject my friends horse in the hock too. The two are field mates so we thought it would be more beneficial for the two to be done at the same time as they both have to stop in the next day following the injection. Can you tell me when a return to normal exercise, i.e jumping/fun rides would be following the injection.

Guessing if its done on the Monday by the following Saturday/Sunday the horse will be fine to ride?? Doesn't matter if he is not okay by then, I'm happy to give him as much time as possible but I have a two day event 2 1/2 weeks after the injection so trying to keep him ticking over and fit before it.

Hmm sounds like I might need to cancel the appointment and get him seen after the two day event then.

rang the vet this morning to ask him how long he'd be out of work for and he text me back to say not too worry there would be plenty of time before the event following the injection to get him ready. So that's a weight off my mind.
