Sticky pads on TENS machine - help!

My physio has recommended using a TENS machine on my boy and said to make sure I remove the sticky bit first but my god there is no easy way and so time consuming!!!

Has anyone managed to remove the sticky pads successfully?

If you don't need it to stick, can you just press it on a carpet a few times until the stickiness is reduced enough?

I had to do it to my own machine when the new pads were ripping my skin off

I use mine fresh out of the packet without issues, I use NEMS rather than TENS settings though. I’ve used it 3 days a week for months with no problems, you need to wet the coat to get it to conduct though.

Nail varnish remover? I've no tens experience but it works well on plaster stickiness

Which machine do people have?

I use the boots tens machine and just use the pads that came on it? got a big cheap bottle of ultrasound gel and use big dollops of that under them to get a connection.

We use a tens machine made by trimbio, no sticky bits? and a bottle of their gel. Recommended by physio and has been going strong for about 5 years now.
