Stiff Through Shoulder Exercises

Have any of you had a back doctor advise you that your horse is stiff through it's shoulder? if so, what exercises did they tell you to do or what exercises would you recommend to help?

Carrott stretches?
In hand polework?
Manual leg pull stretches?
Lungeing over poles?

I haven't had that diagnosis, but we do the carrot stretches, pole work, and leg pulls after tacking up.

What did your person tell you to do?

She basically said what I said above as suggestions - I wondered if anyone else had any further ideas or experience?????

One of my boys is stiff through his shoulders and I was advised to walk him over raised trotting poles to encourage him to stretch and then eventually build up to trotting over them when he found walking over them easier.

Did they say why your horse is stiff through his shoulders?
Exercise wise those are the ones I would do. You could also lead him/ ride through a grid of poles like they do in ttouch ( i think).
