Briefly;
Penny went out with the girls today - first time. I removed Meg first and allowed a chat over the fence ... Meg wasn't best pleased with little intruder! In the field Juno took her under her wing as I expected, so much so Penny was looking for the 'never been used' milk bar!! Juno was a tad confused by this, but after a few squeels Penny got the message.
I left my mum watching those two while I went off for a ride on Meg. 1 hour later I returned Meg to the field and watched very closely as all three were now together. Penny knew she can't mess with Meg and kept her distance. They did have a little nose kiss, but Meg doesn't 'do' babies!! She wasn't nasty, but made sure Penny knew who was boss! In the meantime Juno was acting as nanny/peace keeper and if Meg was getting too bossy she stepped in between them.
30 mins later all was peaceful, I left mum to keep a 30 min check interval. At 4pm I went back, caught Penny no problems (helped by mum yet again helping by catching Meg and holding her out of the way). I led Penny away. Juno called once, but Penny was a total star and is now indoors for the night. She is also getting 50% better about trying to jump out through her grill!
I can't praisse this little filly enough, she has won my heart over totally. Of course Meg is my true star, but love grows you know!!

ETS, got some lovely photos, but haven't uploaded them yet and I have to be careful as OH is about and he still doesn't know about Penny's existance!! OOPPPSS

I hope that she will turn into a pony club pony... stopping off along the way by visiting some shows and doing youngstock M+M. Only time will tell, but I've got time on my hands.
