This is still making me chuckle and also makes me realise what a loony my horse can be and how I love him dearly for being a little character :D

Red the 5yo ex racer also recovering from iridum treatment for sarcoid (me wonders if they zapped his brain too) had a couple of days rest due to other commitments so I thought I'd give him a good ole lunge session, knowing full well there'd be lots of lunacy ;)

I was right with the lunancy, much prancing like a floaty passage-y posh pony when 2 other horses went past the yard complete with almost vertical tail and giraffe head. Lots of silly 5yo with energy bucks and dancing as normal with whizzy quick trot and canter thrown in (normal).

He settles into a beautiful balanced trot then suddenly in the blink if an eye from TROT gets down and has a roll in the sand!!!!!
Me plus spectators covered in sand in disbelief as he gets up has a shake and trots off as if nothing had happened.....

I am still amazed and giggling and wondering what stunt is next :D He's a proper daft moo sometimes but I do love him to bits! :D

I don't normally do gushy posts but he's being such a sweetie at the minute and schooling/behaving nicely I felt brave ;) :D

Lashings of tea and caramels for anyone reading and feel free to hijack and add any other daft stories :D

LMFAO!!!
When I worked on the livery yard I was asked to lunge the stallion. Got him to the arena and walked in with the intention of standing at x and lunging in the middle of the school. Well we got as far as G and I felt a little tug on the rope, turned around and the bugger was rolling, he hadn't made is more then an few meters past the gate!!! :D

And repeat twice last night! He gets one more chance then he becomes naughty as he's rolling in his bridle and wrecking my lunge line in the process the swine! I even asked him if he wanted a roll first, clearly thats not as exciting a chucking a cheeky one in while trotting *shakes head*

At least I'm not alone :D
