I posted a week or two ago about my mare and her problems when trying to pick up her feet, as she leans on me. I used some of the techniques that you guys suggested and she was getting better but over the past few days has resulted to trying to bite or backs up or tries to run away. She had new shoes put on last week and the farrier said that she was just inexperienced with her feet and the shoes she has on must have been the first pair she had had on.
Don't really know what to do because she was letting me pick up the front hooves, and now she just refuses completely. She doesn't like it when you say feet or hooves, or if you have a hoofpick, so i have been trying to call them something else, but it didn't work.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks :)

Persistence. Choose one method, don't keep chopping and changing between suggestions, and keep at it.

Ok then. Nothing seems to work more than once or twice though, thats why the methods change to see if i can find something that works consistantly.
Thanks :)

she is obviously very intelligent to know what hooves feet and hoofpick are! try calling them apples carrots and nuts!! every wondered if she is taking the proverbial?

Preserve with her, she knows she can get away with it so ignore all her little moments and make her pick her foot up, praise her for it, rub her legs so she knows you don't mean any harm, spend a lot of time just doing this.

I use the word "up".
