We still haven't started our event season just yet... a few more weeks left to go!

But this weekend we represented our new RC in the combined training qualifiers! RC 100 test and 85cm SJ! I wasn't expecting much with the dressage tbh he's not really playing ball atm so working him at home is becoming tiresome and a lot of hardwork! Fair play to him though as he does tend to behave far better away from home, a few leaps over the mud and different coloured grass patches in the warm up.... How dare people move xc fences around!!! and into the arena we went, he performed a sweet test, nothing spectacular but everything was where it was meant to be! Thankfully he left his epic spook until after i saluted!! I was hoping for a mid 30s scores so was rather pleased to see a 34.2 next to our name! Clever pony!!

After what felt like a lifetime waiting around in the cold to sj we finally headed to the warm up, he was so totally game for it! We haven't actually competitively jumped yet this year or sj on grass so the round was probably a bit messy, he was taking off left right and center, leaving strides out where he could! Good boy though as he kept all the poles up for a clear!! I dont live far from the venue so decided to whip him home and head back for results.... Turns out not only did we finish 4th individually on our dressage score of 34.2 but our team also came 2nd!! :D I'm pleased to see our dressage scores haven't worsened since last season!!

Next up is dressage qualifiers before our first BE run!!

Pic of the pretty boy all plaited for the first time this year!
