Just had a poop day.... potential loan horse fell through...again!

I know times are hard at the mo but surely not everyone wants to sell and let me have a loan. I've a great yard, lots of time and love to give....anyone at all?

Just another moan, all i seem to do at the mo....:(

I've had a look at a few and seem to mainly find companions for the height i'm looking for... and lots of shetlands!

Any ideas of rescue places would be great to see if i've missed any.

try here http://www.darleyrehoming.co.uk/horses.php

I fall in love every time i look at the page. Normal rescues dont seem to have much over 15hh that is rideable - darley do an amazing job

sorry i was presuming you wanted something more along these lines, apologies if ive got it wrong

Gorgeous horses. I love Khan :D

Do you know why they all seem to wearing a chifney?

Chifneys are yard policy on a lot of racing yards, so not really that unusual. Horseworld in Bristol, which may be too far from you, also does a pretty good job, a friend of mine has one from there.

Not sure HorseWorld will travel that far for home visits etc. They have quite a small area they cover (keeps costs down). I have to say, having had 2 from them in the past, that I think their 'loan donation' amounts are way too high (riding horse capable of more than hacking and you are looking at £800 - £1000). You could purchase a horse for that at the moment and would then own it rather than having someone come out every 6 or 12 months.

Try WHW http://www.worldhorsewelfare.org/rehoming/index.asp

or Blue Cross http://www.bluecross.org.uk/1710/adopt-an-animal.html

I'm pretty sure the ex racer rehoming places will deliver the horse if you pay their mileage if that's any good? I think Moorcroft (in Sussex) will go as far as you as they told me they'd deliver to Essex a while back. Think it would only have been £100 or so for the delivery.

Also Heros will too I think:

Good luck finding your perfect new horse :)
