Still no rain or Grass!!!!!

The ground is still like rocks here. Although we have been promised quite a bit of rain tonight, fingers crossed!

Have some of our rain and wind, am sure I saw a couple of people kayaking down the road this morning - oh, have just seen a speedboat go by!!!

We have loads of grass in Staffs but the ground is rock hard so would love some rain. on the plus side it means that the horses can still be out 24/7

Never thought I'd be saying that in October! My Winter field was cut for hay in July and still hasn't really grown back yet

Just heard rain on the window in Herts..... my fields are parched, no grass growing, owners and me wondering what they will eat come winter.

Hmm seems the rain has stopped..... could do with a few days of it!

Dust bowl here til just now when it threw it down. Typical, just had the roofer out today to give us a quote. Super.

Had a short shower last night, fields are still dusty and hard. We have an ancient moat around our house, it's nearly dry, the poor fish are really struggling, I have been running a hose into it somedays, not helped at all.

I feel your pain, we've had no rain since about June (other than a half an hour or so a couple of times) we spending about €550 a month on hay! It is due to rain all this week, so I am praying we get some grass before the cold weather arrives....fingers crossed

yep, it was June! Thankfully it's been raining here since yesterday evening-never been so happy to see the wet stuff I'm praying with you but I doubt if we'll see grass till next spring.
PS, thats a whopping monthly hay bill-how many are you feeding?
