i'm still having problems with controlling monty, he's very hard to steer lol!!!! he's like a car without power steering. and i really hate having to pull on his mouth so much. he was in a crappy copper roller type bit which did nothing at all! i've now got him in a full cheek snaffle which still doesnt seem to make much difference.
also now that he's settling in he is getting cheekier and he has turned home a couple of times and is amazing strong! i'm very tempted to put him in a pelham like poppy is......i love it on poppy because i hardly need to use it but when i do i have in there if u kno what i mean.....
what do u guys think??
 
probably wouldnt jump straight to a pelham, as once you're there theres not an awful lot after that!
id maybe try some other bits inbetween, and see how you go, but i would rather have to half halt than yank a horses teeth out, too :p
I do love pelhams though, and most horses go quite nicely in one :)
