It's alright for big hairy Ron - he thinks it's very exciting, i'm the one whose freezing my arse off trying to shove the wheelbarrow full of haylage through the snow for the fat b*ggers to munch up!
I still haven't thawed out yet lol. Hopefully we can get to them tomorrow. The main roads are bad but passable so fingers crossed we don't get more snow overnight.
Im in medway its its been snowing all day on and off with very few breaks in it.
I live 4 miles so can walk it once a day if i have to but i have been getting to the yard twice a day to do not only mine but help others out. My little wagon struggled a bit tonight up the lane but if need be i can park at the end of the lane and walk up ( that if i can get the car out in the morning ).
Its meant to be bad tonight and tomorrow so im praying i dont have to walk ( on top of walking the 4 miles each way i have to take the kids to gransmas which ads another mile onto it ).
Cross everything i can get out tomorrow.
On the plus side i have plenty of food for us all.
I'm also in Kent. Remember bad bad snow when I was a kid. Mum went to stay with her sister who lived at the top of Charing Hill. She couldn't get home because the snow had drifted over the hedges down Aunts' lane and was 6ft thick.
Dad went to fetch her and ended up following a snow plough down the lane in his van. Mum threw her case and herself into the car, and they followed the plough all the way to the bottom of the hill with the snow drifts falling in behind them!
That was probably in the 1980's..... I can't remember how old I was then.
Of course us kids just thought it was fun being off school !!
