arghhh getting pretty fed up now. Am starting to wonder if there are any serious buyers out there
I thought a PC/RC type would be easy to sell, I was wrong.
Has anyone managed to sell anything recently ?
It's so frustrating when people don't get back to you or waste your time :(

there are lots of buyers out there....

it all depends on how big, how old, experience and price.... it's very competitive

where are you advertising?

advert on horsemart ended yesterday so now thinking where to advertise next ?
there is also an advert in the PC newsletter & local tack shop board

when my mare was for sale I had by far the most response from the horse and hound (a few from the website and then a lot when she went in the magazine)

Same, timewasters!
People who don't read the bloomin' advert. Which is quite clear.
One person who asked if I would loan, I said no, she then asked why!?I was like, because I don't want to loan her? She is advertised FOR SALE.

I have somone coming to see mine on Sunday, they sound really lovely, a mother and daughter. The mother is quite novice, but just wants to do hacking which is good. I think the daughter wants to do PC/RC in the future.

I think Jan was probably not the best time to advertsie....

I'm not advertised oh H&H either, I think I'm going to if Sunday doesn't go as hoped...

I'm going to be advertising probably at the mid to end of next month. When I look for horses for sale I always check adhorse, which isn't expensive to advertise on I'm sure, and horsedeals because it has a really good search facility on it, so no scrawling though horses which don't fit what I'm looking for.

I spoken to my friend about her, they liked the pics and the sound of her, i think they do want to come and see her, as they do like the sound of her. There just a bit slow of the mark!!LOL Im going to come up with them. :)

I sold my 15.3hh allrounder on the main ponyclub website. I had so many calls and that was in December right near christmas

I sold one before Christmas - I put the advert up and then the next day it snowed and so I thought nobody would turn up to see him.

However he went up for sale on a wednesday night at 9pm, got a phone call on thursday morning at 8am (I was in the shower at the time lol), 2 booked in to see him that weekend and the second person never got a chance as he was sold to viewer number one!

as other people said it must depend on the horse & most importantly at the moment, the price. I think you have to price them low and expect to get lower! I let him go for a few hundred quid less than I wanted although I had already advertised him for quite a lot less than he would have been worth a year or so ago

good luck

I have 2 youngsters to advertise and im dreading it!

Both are quiet and have been backed and turned away and i planned to bring them back in to break properly before Christmas but the snow put pay to that.

The last time i had one for sale all i had was no shows or nutters coming to view. I did sell to the first 'sane' person that came forward!

Hehe yes me too. Havnt met any members yet!:) I know this weather is grim!!! Although doesnt stop my 6 year old it was tipping down this evening and i was like do you want to give him a day and she was 'no im riding so i had to stand in the middle while she cantered round for half hour!! I was like a drowned rat!!:o But least shes keen!!:)
Yes i chatted to her yesterday and she said she defo wants to look and she liked the sound of her. She was asking if youd won much or done any team stuff with her, just out of interest really? Shes coming off her pony, think the contract on the loan is up in april so there keen to get something in place before. I said shes been an 11 year olds first horse and she was really pleased with that..:D

I'm sure the pony wasn't to keen on the rain either, good she is enthusiatic though!
we didn't do any team events mainly as not that competitive & lack of transport, but in a year & 1/2 got over 35 rosettes & a trophy! if the rider had been more competive I think they would of won alot more instead of coming 3rd/4th but thats still quite respectable. Yes, can be a little cheeky but deffiantly not nasty/dangerous :D
