Long story short I now have a horse who has almost overnight lost the majority of the middle third of his mane from a neck rug rubbing the hair . It's not sore at all and I know it was definitely the rug, but it has a couple of almost bald patches and it doesn't too look pretty! Hogging him is not an option but I obviously want to try to regrow it as soon as possible and wondered if anyone had any ideas? He has a good balanced diet and I'm feeding linseed and biotin to try and help stimulate growth. It has been suggested I rub on a product called MTG, if anyone has any experience of this? Any ideas gratefully received as it's going to take a fair while to sort out so would like to do what I can to help it on its way a little!

I second the vote for MegaTek, I'm using it on my mare's mane and and a bald patch on her shoulder and it has definitely made a difference. And as Suziq77 says it smells gorgeous, I've even had people commenting on the smell as they walk past...asking if it's me or the horse! :D
