Stinky dog!

Sorry about the dubious nature of this enquiry, but has anyone a cure for a dog who's farting excessively. He doesn't usually but the last 2 days you can hardly share a room with him. I assume he's eaten something 'tasty' on his walk. He's not off his food, not ill or anything. Just wondered if I can give him anything to stop the pong.

Some people recommend charcoal biscuits....but I wouldn't hold my breath....well in your case maybe I would!
Seriously though, if your dog persists I would ring the vets as depending on the breed they could be susceptible to bloating (usually a large barrelled dog). Failing that it's just better out than in!

Dont know of a cure, sorry. When my dog eats horse poo or horse hoof she really stinks.

The vet told us it was normal !!

If he is farting alot yoyu will need to think about what he has eaten

It might be something on the walk - or it might be his food? What is he being fed? A diet with too much carbohydrate or undigestible plant fibre (cellulose) will produce lots more gas...
