Just wondering people's opinions on stirrup irons. I currently have the curved side stirrup irons which I hate with a passion! I am trying to decide which ones to get but there are so many mixed opions and so many to chose from. I mostly do dressage, some show jumping and hacking. I was thinking the lightweight polymer stirrups with the 'cheesegrater' tread, or the flexi stirrup irons. Any advice/opinions?

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread too. I have the curved ones too but was thinking of changing to peacocks because they are safer, any thoughts?

No to peacocks for adults - they just aren't tough enough.

I have Sprenger System 4 stirrups on all of my saddles - expensive but worth it.

Have had my flexi irons for ages only £30 and well worth it, really comfy especially for long rides as knees dont seem to ache as much

Only reason i had to replace them was the last pair went walkies :)
