I am in desparate need for a new set of stirrup leathers for my dressage saddle, and having vowed to spend a decent amount of money. Doing this, i have been bombarded with hundreds of brands- all looking the same. Could i have any help in choosing the best, preferably at a low price (£70 max!)

I've got some Jaguar ones which are super quality leather with a buckle the doesn't make a bulge in the saddle! They are stretch resistant. I've had them for about three years and even with daily use they still look like new.

They loop round your stirrups then you put the wee hook type things into the slots in the inside of the webbers, if you want them longer or shorter you just move the hook up or down into a different slot. I think they are fab for my dressage saddle as you have less bulk under your leg.

I also really rate bates, although i have regular ones. Had them for years now and they have never stretched. Bought a brand new pair and stupidly left them at last yard and they grew feet and walked away..........

Amerigo calf skin leathers are gorgeous. Slim but Soft and strong (sounds like Andrex!!) £73 with Classic Dressage Collection.
