Just getting a new horse and sold my tack a while ago so cant work out what length of stirrup leather I need. I will be mostly hacking and schooling. As I will be paying quite a lot for a good pair I dont want to get the length wrong!

I have 34" inside leg and currently ride with 67" as share with 6ft10 husband.

But I just wanted to add that if you are looking for a good quality pair try Passier, they are beautiful quality and have closely positioned holes so you can make slight adjustments.

I love them and will now have to buy a second pair as husband is back riding and have to give them back to him! Naturally it makes sense to go with another long pair so we can both use them in future but I think even if it was just me I would stick with longer length as I have enough "overage" to tuck into the leather strap on saddle (cant think of what its called!) and stay there. Previously, with shorter leathers I found that it never quite reached. There are plenty of holes, my shorter friend (around 5ft4) doesn't have a problem so if you ever have trainers/friends etc riding they seem to fit lots of sizes small to extra tall!

Thanks for that. Yes I think I will go for the 67 inch. I think the last ones I had were either Stubben or Bates but they were the first ones I had bought with the nylon inner and amazingly they didnt stretch and that is good as I am a bit lob sided. I will try the Passier this time as they seem somewhat cheaper.
