Stirrup Leathers

Hello

I am going to clean my new stirrup leathers and I cant remember whether it is good to feed/oil them or bad. Can anybody advise me please, I am being a doh ball and cant remember!

ive always oiled them thought it prevents them from cracking too much but not sure if this is right or not

I would oil them for the first time, then use a good sadlle soap after that unless you can see they need a feed. I use horsemans one step, brilliant stuff, cleans and nourishes in one, when its dry you can apply soap on top if you want or you can buff it up. They will stretch if they are just leather. Latest ones I have, have got a nylon core and are brilliant and have not stretched and I am no Jordan ! ha ha oops sorry to mention her again, seems to be a touchy subject on here
