Stirrup Leathers

Use Standard adult stirrup leathers which are usually 1 x 54" long
If a light adult (very light under 6 stone) then you could go for childrens leathers which are usually either 3/4" or 7/8" x 48" long, there's always variations but these are the guidelines when we make stirrup leathers.
Actually if I remember rightly now that because hide is not as good as it was years ago and isn't as strong (not left to mature enough when still on the cattle) they recommend that we use 1 1/4" x 54" instead for adults leathers but you will be hard pushed to find these in shops yet unless handmade to order.
Oz :)
