This is probably a silly question but for the life of me I can't remember how you work out what length stirrups leathers you need.
I bought some for my 6 year old daughter that where suppose to be tiny tot leathers but she's needs two twists in them, so need some the right length this time. Thanks :)

When she is in the saddle, measure from the stirrup bar to the top of the stirrup iron then multiply by 2.5 . Take the stirrups and measurements to a saddler and ask him to shorten them. Or keep the longer ones for her to grow into and buy some new short ones.

I found that the smaller ones cost more than the normal. I took adult simple leather ones and a hole punch, we made our own and cut off the extra. They look great.

My daughter is 6 in June.
