I have one leg that is slightly longer than the other but it causes me to have one stirrup a hole longer than the other side. Am I alone in this

I've tried to have them the same lenght but it feels so unbalanced for me. Will it cause any problems for the horse do you think?

There is a girl at the RS I work at with the same thing as you, she also has to ride 1 hole difference. I think your better off riding with different stirrups then being unbalanced on a horse

Thanks Jess. I used to think I was unbalanced until I had a car accident a few years ago when the physio pointed out I had one leg longer than the other!

I have the same thing - but I have a ligament in my pelvis that is 4 inches longer on my right side than my left! I ride one hole different cos it cripples me not to. My own horse is much more appreciative of this now rather than when I use to end up unbalancing myself by overcorrecting myself (if you get what I mean)

I have the same problem. My left leg is approximately half an inch longer than my right. I feel comfortable if I put a hole in between an original 2. Strange that we are all so wonky!!!

One of my legs feels longer than the other and someone gave me a tip. Either put an insole in one of your boots or make one of the stirrup treads thicker......it does work

I think my right leg is longer... i've always thought that but never said anythin lol I don't think theres much in it tho cos dropping a hole seems too much, so maybe i'll go for another hole in between. Glad i'm not alone in my wonkiness!!

Oooh liking your tip Lotty!! It would have to be a big wedge tred I think for me if you can get those? I know I shouldn't worry but I think that anyone riding or driving behind me must think I am unbalanced so I would love to 'look' right rather than having odd stirrups.
