Probably a stupid one but there you go. I've got a pair of generic stainless steel irons which I've had years, probably ten years plus. They've never ever been heavily used, quite the opposite - can tell that by the fact the treads still haven't bedded in properly. They've been stored in a tackroom, house, or garage over the years.

I assume they'd be ok to use for a lesson each week? Or does stainless steel degrade over time? They look as good as new frankly.

Also would I be right in thinking avoid Amidale flexi stirrups?

Just out of curiosity, what stirrups do you normally use when you ride? I'm not sure why you wouldn't use the same stirrup's you'd use to say hack in to have a lesson in every week?

I imagine they'd be fine to use though! If you want flexible stirrups, I have Sprenger's and love them :)

Because I'm riding something different each week and want to ride in my own pair? :wink3:

If I could afford a pair of Sprengers I'd have them already as know how good they are.
