I've just taken delivery of a made-to-measure suede seated CC jump saddle and the stitch work around the cantle is messy, with puckers down one side. My saddler said that's normal due to the thickness of the suede but regardless, as a handmade saddle I expect the stitch work to be pristine and uniform all the way around and I feel dissatisfied with my purchase. Has anyone had a similar experience with a suede seated saddle, machine or handmade? Any particular brands? Thanks in advance.

I work for a v well known saddle company in Walsall and I`ve never seen any saddle with puckering on , suede or not.it does not sound right to me. stick to your guns and complain. At least try for a reduction in price. good luck.
