Stock or Tie that is the question??

So when is it right to wear a tie and when is it right to wear a stock??

I have no idea??? STUPID I KNOW!!

Depends on what your doing!

Showing its shirt & tie unless in an evening performance. Dressage is whatever you want!

I think a coloured stock (not cream or white) could be correct for working hunters...

Personal preference, I reckon.

showing / workers: tie and shirt unless evening then a cream stock.
showjumping: anything goes but normamly just a stock shirt is worn
dressage: normally a cream stock but you still do see the odd tie or coloured stock
eventing: usually stock as well

I usually wear like you said a stock shirt fro show jumping, but my mum has it and wont have time to pick it up. So show shirt and tie it is!! Thanks Again Guys!

and just to add (someone tell me if am wrong) its a tie if you wear tweed, and for black and navy jackets (dressage) a stock.

Whilst you can wear a tie with tweed, you can also wear a coloured stock (as long as it is not for showing). With navy jacket then a white or cream stock.
