Its Been ages since I last Competed. I have a youngster now and plan to take her to her first Intro dressage Test for the experienc. My old stock tie has marks on it. I don’t think it’s useable anymor. My show shirt has a Velcro type stock strip with it. may this suffice? it’s just a plain white loop for a white shirt. Or do I need to get a fancy stock tie.

You don’t actually need to wear a stock if you don’t want to. I only wear mine for regionals/areas and with my tails - I just wear a rat-catcher shirt 🙂

I took baby cob to his first Intro last weekend.

I found my old stock shirt had shrunk in the wardrobe so purchased one that's like a T-shirt and didn't put a stock on. Looked nice under the jacket even if I was dripping after the hooligan's antics.

I didn’t used to but I wasn’t allowed to take my jacket off at an unaffiliated show last year (I don’t have a waistcoat) because I didn’t have a stock or tie. So if you’re hoping to ride in just a shirt it may be worth taking one or other just in case they are sticklers for rules.
