Looking to get some Stockholm tar to use on hooves for waterproofing if things continue to get wetter.

Which is better, spray or tub?

Thank you!

Spray def easier to use but my old barefoot trimmer - who is the only HCP I have ever rated and trusted - said it’s not as good as has a slightly different make up, to make it sprayable. So I always use the stuff out of the tin. It is a messy pita tho, I got a multipack of cheapo hoof oil brushes with lids and used them to apply.

Could I just ask why you'd want to waterproof a hoof?
Mine live out all year round and my mare's feet went like sponges with all the wet weather we had. Despite having a big field shelter with rubber mats and hay, it wasn't enough to stop them going like that. I've never tried it before but I've seen good reviews on using Stockholm tar to help prevent this from happening.
