Franco polo sounds very exotic. he is also known as 'pancho' by my mexican friends.
He cant come mostly because only having the 2 it would leave one at home alone and mum wouldnt want to bring hers. He is also better to have his activities spread out he is better to have a day off after jumping at his age
ooohhh Kitsune- how exciting to have found someone else. Have u been to SL before? I'm expecting to come back excellent in all phases (LOL!)-I want to get the pack of what kit we need e.t.c. now so that i can start making pointless excessive lists!
I haven't been before, but know people who have and I too have never heard anything but great stuff, they are meant to be fun and you come back grinning
ohh i like the look of the Sept one - I have just been posting about getting the big boy doing some more hacking - and that may be just the thing to work towards and you never know i may even jump a tiny twig going up hill - on the last day of course !
I'm very tempted to go on the September one! Either that or the Active Rider camp at MK 13-15 August, if I can work out logistics. Having just compared them, the 5 day SL seams better value for money but I was hoping to get to one earlier in the year.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Ideally South of our lovely isle.
There was a gaggle of us going to go last year, but eveyrone pulled out. I was apprehensive about it anyway, as I never do well in "riding club clinic" type scenarios (it seems to turn me back into a belligerent schoolgirl).
Are there good instructors there? And do people benefit?
Ohhh i'm still comparing (read that as dreaming), SL looks so much fun and is longer, plus I've worked out there is a BD day on the day before, and a dressage clinic with Nina Venables the day after the camp, so it could be something I could tag on either side.
Both MK and SL are about equal distance from me, so I just need to find suitable transport! MK doesn't inc accommodation so that's another thing to consider.
The only thing about SL is they say nothing about who/level of instruction and whilst I want a fun holiday I am looking to progress. Can anyone help?!
Our local hunt runs a 4 day residential in the summer, I got on in place if someone whose horse went lame. I was on the point of selling Av but the camp totally changed both of our outlooks, it was fab and just the contant reminders and practising the same thing over the 4 days showed that actually we could be a team. Was the start of a fab summer for us!!!
