Anyone from here going to the Stockland Lovell 5 day residential camp this month?

I'm going, I'm very excited about it and very worried about it as well. I've been back in the saddle for approx 18months since coming back from a 6year break from horses - old horse retired, then PTS & i had to wait for the youngster to grow up. Slightly lacking in confidence and taking a novice horse of 6yrs old.

Worried me and Jack will be too novice for the course - any of you been? and did you enjoy yourselves? will it be suitable for me and Jack?

Blimey, getting myself in a right tizz about it!!

Some calming replies would be great & some more information about what to expect would be even better.

I'm not going, but have heard it is a wonderful experience, especially for those nervous riders and the novice/green horses! Let us all no how you get on, i'd be really interested in doing the camp in a year or two so will look forward to hearing back from you :D good luck and have fun!!

Went last year and LOVED it!! :) :) :). Have a very novice jumping horse, instructors couldn't have more welcoming, if you don't want to have the lessons then there is a map with all the country rides around the estate. Enjoy yourself and have fun

Thanks so much for your replies, they were just what i was hoping to hear!!

oooooo very excited about it now, been planing what to take for ages. Aparently they send a "what to pack list"?

Hope i don't forget anything important? Like my hat, back-protector or God forbid, Jack!!

I'm going. Have been back in the saddle for a year after a 20 year break. You will be in good company, you certainly wont be the only novice, dont worry !!!! Going with a friend who has been lots of times, she says we will hve a fab time.

Thanks for the replies. All good by the sounds of it. Tonight i shall mostly be really really really excited..... even the nearly 3 hour journey is exciting. Going to watch the new Pirates of the Carribean (sp?) film & eat popcorn and try to chill out - hah, no chance.
