Went to SL yesterday for the first event of the season. Was ridiculousy excited and hardly slept that night so got before the alarm of 5am and went to yard. Was going on my own so loaded up and set off. Journey uneventful radio 2 on the way and the sun was just peeking out

Walked sj course and reported in then went to get ready. True to form the stupid studs weren't easy so I was rather late getting down the dressage. Warmed up ok but Charm seemed to shrink in the ring and I had to do pony kicks to get her to move and the transistions were lazy. Had a very generous 34
Took her sj and she perked up and flew round for a clear round

Went XC and she started being silly at start, napping a bit and refusing to go near the guy to start us

Got going and she jumped one and two nicely then came to 3 a white house. Despite kicking and growling she stopped

checked it out then jumped on second time of asking. She was a bit sticky through a double on the angles then we found our stride and she really jumped everything else well.
Bit disappointed at the stop but at least we finished.
Scoffed burger, chips and a double ice cream, had a kip and made for home in time to watch Joesph and Bob the builder going out

I've told hubby he's got to build me a white house as these caught us out at Charlton Park as well

Off to Chepstow PN next - thanks for reading.

Well done! pants about the stop, but at least she is consistent and it is something you can work on! The blessings of a lorry - having a kip before leaving - mind if that was me I would prob still be there asleep now LOL!

Have a good run at Chepstow.

A yay and poo sort of day.

Very well done, the first two phases are def okay arent they

Arghh damn white houses! they are spooky!

Hopefully she will be back into the swing of things come next week

Onwards and upwards...

You've got a RADIO in your lorry. Such luxury......

I think that sounds like a respectable start to the season, I expect it was a fairly stiff course so you must feel pretty set for the next outing.

Thanks guys - yes silly white houses shouldn't be allowed

I wish there was somewhere decent around here to school with white houses.
Bit
crazy.gif
about Chepstow. They have to be the most unluckiest organizers as there's rain forcast all week
frown.gif
but it will be nice not having far to travel

Not only is it a radio but it has a blue tooth setting so my phone goes in there as well

Got it other day from Halford's with free fitting. I think I'm never welcome there again as neither I or the guy realised that a lorry radio is 24 volts so he blew the first one up
blush.gif
then took 3 hours fitting the new one as he rang new cable from the battery to make it 12 volt. How's that for service

It only cost the price of one radio

God your radio sounds flash! Could do with one of them in the lorry! Well done, I should think you'll be alright with the house thingies, once she's back in the swing of things she won't look at them I expect.

It's not my lorry it's lent to me by an incrediably generous friend! I took it to have radio fitted for her though! She was rather worried when I told her the guy had removed dashboard and was looking puzzled

and I was gone 3 hours!
