Hello, new to this forum but not to riding. After thirteen plus years riding I've finally got myself a (loan) horse - a cue, I think, to join the forum! Absolutely stoked, part loan but I'm her main rider. She's a gorgeous dark brown 5y/o NF x TB but acts twice her age and is good as gold and not at all mareish. I first rode her on Tuesday out on a gorgeous hack and she fell naturally into an outline on barely a contact and no asking whatsoever! Fast too - easily kept up with an enormous TB.

What's everyone else stoked/pleased/excited about?

That's so lovely to hear! 'Stoked' is a word a lot of surfer/snowboarders seem to use, (well that's where I've heard it from). Funnily enough I'm currently off work recovering from a rib injury after a surfer's surf board smacked into me when I was down in Cornwall. Was meant to be checking out a horse share when I got back but need to wait a couple of weeks now before I can even consider getting back in the saddle! Please keep us posted about your new horse - I love new forests!

Ha, I hang out with a lot of skateboarders so I guess that's where it's from. Definitely not a southern thing. It just means really excited/happy. Don't worry, I won't pull out 'gnarly' or anything ;) anyway, terrible to hear about the rib thing! What's the share like?
Will post some pictures of my gorgeous girl, new forest crosses are the best! Teaching her to jump soon.

:D exciting stuff! yep post some piccys please. ooh have fun teaching her to jump-has she not jumped at all yet? ive just been to my third show with my loan and he was ace-didnt knock a pole or anything,i was stoked lol! x

rode candy in the paddock today, she bends beautifully in walk but past that it goes out the window! i've just been trying to use my leg aids and seatbones to encourage her, doing all kinds of circles and shapes. any recommendations? photos soon.
