Posted under Stolen section. Friend had her Harrington Micrasport 4-wheeled open carriage stolen from Willingham, Cambs last night. Dark blue with silver detail, almost new condition. Set up with shafts for a single 12hh pony but can also be used with a pole for a pair. Police informed and owner trying to spread word far and wide.

Its doing the rounds on Facebook at the minute, so I assume other places as well. Although I dont know how many people have seen it outside of the driving scene but equally if you dont drive you wont be buying a carriage so hopefully the right people know :)

I hope find it,

sorry to hijack but how do you drivers secure your carriages any suggestions??

Mine is secured with a cheap cable lock to stop it being turned and a £200 Almax lock and chain securing it to a fence post. It wont stop anyone who really wants it, but it will stop the casual thief.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS NEWS - the carriage has been recovered, undamaged, today. My friend is one very very happy owner!

Thank you for spreading the word everyone, hugely much appreciated.

Happy new Year to you all!

No, it was found about a mile from its home in the village where it was stolen from. I don't have any other details.

Two large free-roaming mastiffs. :D

Very glad to see the OP got her carriage back. Presumably too hot to shift although it would be nice to see the fuzz doing their job and actually catching these scum for once. Lets face it, everyone for miles presumably knows who did it - it's not like your average piss-head thinks, 'oh my, what a nice driving vehicle, I think I'll grab that and sell it on quick down the pub - I know loads of people who want one!'

We have several GSDxHusky that do the same job and double up on a sled for a bit of fun. Carriages are a specialist market and a small world where it is very difficult to get rid of vehicles like the one taken without somebody knowing.
