stolen horse found

So, is it freezemarked, is it chipped, has it been investigated by the police, has it been returned to it's owner if it is the stolen horse, AND HAVE THE TRAVELLERS GOT A PASSPORT FOR IT AND IF NOT WHAT WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT, I dont read or buy the Daily Snail or any other papers or magazines of any description, plenty of other idiots to fill Fleet Streets coffers with their hard earned money without mine as well.
 
I think with a coloured, you have a better chance! The photo's look identical to me, the pony has vey distinctive patches. The owners sounded beside themselves on the ad posted. If it was one of mine, I'd be there as soon as humanly possible

You know, reading this thread, it is any wonder that travellers treat you guys like poo?

You get what you give with travellers. Which is why I've never had a problem with them.

Has anyone tried talking to the King of this mob? Telling him you suspect that one of the horses belongs to someone else, and negotiating?

Of bloody course not, you've gone storming in with all guns blazing and wonder why they're sitting back laughing at you.

Threads like this make me bang my head in dispair. As long as you continue to brand gypsies the reason for the worlds ills, they will continue to steal your horses.
 
and would you have the same response if someone had written a post about any Tom, Dick or Harry having their stolen horse and threatening them when they queried it?

Honestly, I do wish people wouldn't scream racist everytime travellers are mentioned. This is not about the fact they are travellers...it is about the fact they have a known stolen horse and will not cooperate....whoever they may be.
 
And you think they're going to co-operate with people who post on public forums that the way to get through to them is violence?

Respect is a two way street.

And I believe that recently there was a post on the forums about a "Tom, Dick or Harry" in Scotland with a stolen horse who refused to give it up.
Not ONCE was it mentioned that the owner should visit the yard with a shotgun to provoke the police and the owners into fighting.

Now the OP has upset a family of travellers who now know they are desperate to get the horse back. If they're unwilling to stump up the 2500, they are never getting this horse back.

Unfortunatly no lessons will be learnt. They'll just be branded gypsy scum and everyone will bitch about them!
 
i think its terrible this he owner must be furious. If it was my horse i would go there late tonight / early am and quietly walk it away from the camp and get it loaded fast and go. Take some meat to shut the dogs up and hope for the best !

You might wish to write a will first. That is one of the stupidest ideas.

I'm not going to tar all travellers with the same brush but some would kill you without a second thought.

You're not the only one with first hand experience of travellers. I regard a good friend of mine one...

I have to say, if someone approached me to say that I had one of their horses in my field and it were stolen I would do everything I could to accomodate. They may still not get their horse back but I certainly would not intimdate them nor demand money from them.

Is this the coloured that got lost while out hunting? I thought the owners had it now?

I can't believe that the police won't touch this, sorry I don't. There's more to this. If the owners have the passport then they should be at the police station with it.
 
well from what i have read on here it seems the travellers that have the horse have not been very helpfull and people are forced to take things into there own hands all i was saying is that if it were my horse thats what i would consider doing . So if some travellers would literally kill me for taking my own horse back then as far as im concerned they deserve all they get.
