Hi all, I haven't been here for a while but just popped in to ask a question.
During the last few days, my friend's mare has had her lovely long tail hacked off by someone in her field. Another pony in the same field lost theirs too, and a third had damage to their mane. My friend's mare seems traumatised, headshy and nervous which she isn't usually, as if she has been handled roughly. This is in Lancashire.
My friend has been told people do this to sell to the toy industry. Is this likely? And are there other cases of this happening?
It's rather upsetting, and hard to protect animals from this sort of abuse.
