I don't know if you are able to help. I am a Committee Member of Essex Bridleways Association and I wanted to let you know about the theft of a horse from Danbury in Essex. The horse was stolen from her field sometime between 10pm on Wednesday 24th June and 3pm on Thursday 25th June. The horse is a piebald mare who was out in the field with her 14 month old foal. The mare is called Bess and she is just under 6 years old. She is approx. 14hh and is unshod. She suffers from sweet itch on her mane. She is not freeze marked or chipped. I have attached two photographs of her showing her markings on both sides of her body. A green pick up truck and grey trailer were seen in the area but no actually saw the horse being stolen. Padlocks on the gate and electric fencing were cut through.

It goes without saying that the owners are extremely worried about Bess and concerned about her welfare and whereabouts. I would be really grateful if you could forward this information on to your contacts in Herts and ask people to keep their eyes open for her and also to notify the police if they see any suspicious looking vehicles/people. If anyone can help they should contact the owner. Her name is Vi and her phone number is 07747 679444. The more people we have out there looking for her the greater the chance of finding her.

Many thanks for your help with this, it is much appreciated.

Kind Regards.
