Stolen in Silchester Berkshire

Posted in stolen and soap box and comp just to get seen by lots of you!!!

Just to let you know that my quad and several hundreds of pounds worth of tools were stolen from my yard they have also broken into the tack room but we think they got disturbed before they took all of the tack to.

So please be extra careful if you in our area!!!

its such a pain having to replace chains locks etc and the police are well lets just say they are coming out on Monday to finger print!!!

Friends yard was also broken into in Silchester. They took rugs but no tack as there was none there. Not sure of the details but think it was last night. They are probably linked.

I could also hazard a guess at where the stolen stuff is too. Burghfield or a certain hill in Aldermaston. The police will also have a good idea but they wont go in without armed backup apparently.

I'm so annoyed that the police won't come out until Monday, they pulled the wires out the security lights and stopped the CCTV cameras from working too.

It is just at the bottom of my garden so even more annoying to know we are only a few hundred meters from them.
Luckly we think the got disturbed early on as the could of had a lot more.

I'm going to buy a huge vicious dog soon that can shoot shotguns!!

When my parents lived here they had a fantastic GSD who was really ferocious. We have 2 mastiffs. Trouble is they sleep so soundly that I dont know if they would hear anyone coming in at night!

We did have a daylight visit in the summer. Fortunately someone was here and told them they were lucky the guard dogs werent out as they would have been bitten! She then herded them off the yard and walked all round their van writing down the number plate. She then got her phone out as they drove off to call the police. We just hope it scared them off.

ETA- there was also a hit and run in Tadley last night so I would think the local police are dealing with that.
 
I heard about the hit and run very nasty I hope the other person makes it through.

Really we were lucky no-body got hurt at least you can replace possessions.

I might buy a Jack Russel for the barking and a GSD for the biting although if its like my friend JR they do just as much damage

Thanks for the warning as I'm not far from there. I had the same thing with the police a few years ago and they couldn't even be bothered to fingerprint mine even though I showed them exactly what had been touched etc and I hadn't touched it myself! Not very helpful but thank god they were disturbed before all your tack went too. Weird thing in mine was that they left all my tack but I do have it all postcoded so that may have been why but stole all my medical stuff like Gamgee, bandages, bute so think they had a sick horse!
