Stolen Rugs and god know what else!

Recently i have had one of my good rugs taken from my yard along side a pair of new boots
I know who has taken them i actually saw my rug on one of their horses however i dont really want to go picking a fight with this type of person, id easily e able to prove the rug is actually mines also have reported this to the police.

i stongly encourage everyone to make sure rugs are easily identifyable as its not a good feeling and also if anyone has any hints and tip they could share to help discourage people from helping theirself to things i buy with my harnd earned cash!

How awful. :(

I have a friend who paints her postcode in gloss paint on to all her rugs after having some stolen. Something I keep meaning to do but haven't as yet.

I know someone who does exactly the same - on a couple of rugs she put her postcode on one side and STOLEN in bright white gloss paint on the other side
 
I have lost a saddlerack with my name on it, a haynet hung outside my pony' stable, two brushes [expensive ones], all went when people left the yard, why do they do this?
Oh forget to mention three bridles in one swoop, I went to the persons home [boy who does not attend school] door [police not available] and all the father could say, was, well I don't know where they came from! Boy complained that YO had given me his address! He had no choice, I would have called police, its called theft.
 
I know people do this, and it's wrong, I don't know how they have the face to then show off these ill gotten items to all and sundry!!! Remember the story of the missing fly spray that kept disappearing , then the owner added some purple wound spray to it and voila!!! Someone on the yard had a grey horse next day with purple neck!!!! Culprit caught...good style
