hi there im putting this on for a friend and just to let everyone who lives in the area know that last night/early hours of this morning 4 houses in the same village all had their out buildings broken into and a lot of stuff was stolen. now my friends tack room is purpose built with no windows steel roof and a steel door but the b******ds came with power tools.

so heres a list of some of the bigger stuff that was taken i know its a long shot but someone might get offered it or well i dont know what but, i said i would put this on here for her,

jeffries falcon 17" vsd brown wide
tree free exmoor 18" treeless black
saddle solution size 4 black
R&R 16 1/2" working hunter as new
17 1/2" ryder working hunter size 4 brown
17 1/2" wintec gp

jeffries cob size traditional bridle with small grip reins
jeffries full size traditional bridle with small grip reins
full size brown english hunter bridle with broad nose band

now this isnt everything by a long shot they've taken all her bits and spare bridles, numnahs the lot, and then theres everything from the other places so they were obviously organised
anyway best get back to it and sort her some tack to borrow thanks for reading ( ive also put it in the stolen section but figured more ppl read nl)

I hope that it was all tack marked with the owners postcode so that if it is found it can be returned.

In any event make sure that any replacement tack is tack marked.

You can buy a die stamping marking kit from Halfords.

Thats horrible - close to me too. Hope she gets it back.

I marked all mine with smartwater you can get from police for free xx

Wow, I hope she gets all her stuff back! As a rule, we never kept our tack or valuables at our field after our neighbours were broken into (After checking our hay barn and only finding headcollars and feed:rolleyes:)
The culprits returned a few weeks later and the owners had since got larger chains, padlocks and CCTV at the front... so instead the theives climbed over our gate, cut a nice big hole into the adjoining hedge and went in round the back! Managed to grab the quad bike and a load of other very high tec gadgets they had stored there...
They really are buggers, I've known them break into rescue centres and looting there, and once someone stole 2 rugs straight from our horses backs in the middle of winter! They weren't exactly in mint condition but they were decent rugs and then left our poor ladies to freeze over night!
Anway, I hope she gets her items returned and the culprits are caught!

This was definatly a planned job they did nxt door and took a racing bike 2 motor bikes and a load of other stuff then on to my friends and emptied her tack room, which cannot be seen if you didn't know it was there, then on to the farm nxt door where they stole a load of stuff and then nxt door to another farm where a load more stuff was taken.
It's not like it's just a field either the yards about 150 yards down her drive, it makes me sooo mad that ppl work hard and some scrote comes along and takes it
