Hello,
The lady i keep my horses with has a chestnut TB (around 10 years old i think) who hasent been right since around July last year. She had a few mild colic days so she got the vet out and they did a blood test and diagnosed liver enzyme problems and so she went on rest all winter. She had dropped condition before hand but lacked it even more throughout the winter. She went through a couple weeks of not eating all of her feed and not drinking enough with was worrying and once again had a few more colicy days. All seemed to be going well (Apart from the condition) but tonight she wouldnt go near her feed or hay. I Rang the owner and let her know and she claims she gets to hot in her rug.
Stomach ulcers have been playing at the back of my mind but until i looked at this article http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/horsecare/397/122932.html
i wasent sure but she seems to fit the symptons exactly. I Know she isnt my horse but its worrying the owner does not seem to pay attention to this issue and i have let her know i think it may be stomach ulcers. What is all your opionions on how to get the owner to do something and does it sound like stomach ulcers?
Thanks
Lucy
