This is not the first time I have found stones in my horse's feed! However, this evening it was a rather large one! She is retired (24 yo) and has 2 small feeds/day, mainly to carry her supplements. She has Dengie Hi-Fi Lite and a couple of small handfuls of Spillers Horse & Pony Nuts. The feed is kept in an old freezer and I am the only person to mix feeds and feed her - she is kept at home.

I suspect it is in the Hi-Fi, but I have no proof - I am just grateful that she manages to spit them/it out, otherwise she could experience real problems if she actually bit one!!

Any thoughts or experiences please!

I've found stones and sticks in bags of Hi Fi chaff before, I suppose as it is a natural forage product then there is bound to be the risk of other debris getting in there during the harvesting/processing. It would be good if they could screen for it somehow though. Maybe contacting the company to see what they say might be worth doing?

I have never found any stones or anything in my feed or AlfaA maybe you need to buy the more expensive chop?

I have however found these in my shavings
