as we are all very quick to slag off companies (quite rightly) i thought i might sing the praises of Raff's insurance company.
Stoneways insurance have been utterly amazing.
I had just taken out a new policy with them (after cancelling E&L one after hearing horror stories on here!), filled out all the gumpf online etc. They sent me a form to sign and send back, which i did. About 3 days later, Raff had his accident. I rang Stoneways to tell them, and they said they hadn't had my signed form back. I thought 'oh here we go'...
...anyway, to cut a long story short, they said it was okay, that they'd resend the form and for me to put a claim form in.
... i had a letter from them today to say that because my first direct debit hadn't come out yet, i could either pay it a bit early, or ask my vet to wait until it came out... then they could pay the £800 my bill currently stands at... (it will go up...)
so, they didn't get my signed form and my first direct debit hasn't even come out yet... yet they are paying up, no questions asked.
the worry about insurance was such a HUGE one. financially we'd have REALLY struggled to pay, and it is such a relied they're covering it all.
so, MEGA name and praise for Stoneways. all too often we hear of insurance companies finding every excuse NOT to pay. so, what a lovely ray of light in the world of insurers eh?
anyone who's not with them, seriously consider changing over when your policy needs renewing. they've been friendly, helpful and FABBY.
