Okay, travel boots for a very fine legged 15.1 hh PB Arab....would you say COB? I can't get my head round the sizing cos when I think of cob legs I think chunky monkey legs!

Cob will probably be too broad and possibly also too short. My 13.2 takes a cob size. They fasten all the way up on him even though he has large cob type legs (for his size!) and the length is good for him. On thinner legs you'd never get them tight enough.

You could try checking with the various manufacturers to see what the exact inside measurements are for the type you're thinking about but I would have thought you would definitely need a full size - but you might get away with a longer make in pony size. Can you borrow some from other people to try on to get a feel for it?

My 16.2hh warmblood takes Cob size travel boots (mark todd), so you might even get away withaway with pony in that style. The full size boots were too wide, even though all brushing boots etc that I buy are full sized! Weird really

Its not a silly question, Your horse sounds like an "in-between" size lol. So I would say the boots like Mark Todd and Caldene a Cob size would be too big for your horse's legs. However, a Cob size in something like Masta travel boots will probably be better as they are a little narrower. Hope that helps :)

Yup, thanks guys for the help. :) Going to have a wee try on of everyone's boots who's legs are roughly like my boy's to see what I like and what fits.
