Update: I’m not going to have a puppy 😭 my head has to rule my heart on this one. If I do one day get a Brittany, I want to give it the best possible start in life and a job to do - and for it to be a pleasure, with all the time in the world to give to them, and not a chore/necessity. I’m just not in the right situation for such a drivey dog rn. Plus - considering my next horse later this year/early next year. There are finite hours in the day and with a by-then-adolescent pup it just wouldn’t be feasible. Wahh 💔

I think she still has a dog and a bitch available. If anyone likes the breed and is in the right situation for a pup I’d be happy to put you in touch - then I can live vicariously through you 😉

I’d love to post a pic of a pup from her FB so you can see the torturous level of cuteness I’m dealing with, but as they’re not my pics, I won’t. Take it from me though, they are heart-meltingly gorgeous!

I’m going to imagine they’re similar to springers? Get a puppy! Can you take some annual leave for the first couple of weeks he/she would be home? There’s always ways and means. We were very stuck when we first got the boys, Aunty B wasn’t in a fit state, she’d always just had the older boys if we were both working. Fortunately, a mate stepped up til we found a walker/home visits started. Go on, do it!

Is the weather nice in Tenerife? Ve just been for a walk in the p!ssing rain, we’re all soaked!
They make springers look sedentary

I reckon this is a good choice, the Brittany's I have met are all bonkers and have stamina to burn, nice enough nature's but really do need direction and training and a job or ten.

Sensible choice (And I say that as someone with 5 Springers, 2 cockers and a pack of Mannies currently!!)
I’m not known for my sensible choices so I’m feeling quite proud of myself rn 😂

They’re definitely staying on the list for “one day” though. If I ever get to a point in my life where I have enough time to do the breed justice!

At least all mine aren't actually mine. One Springer is off to his owners soon after a year here, 2 cockers are UK bound.

Hope you find the right time in life for the Britt eventually!
