Stop pad protection

Can anyone recommend? For a Labrador, only short term until her hair regrows once the stitches are out.

I vet wrap Dobby's for sports but he has a set of the proper protectors from Forrest Fleece I just find they slip when he's doing warp speed in the rain.

My vet wrap skills seem to be limited, how do you stop it slipping down? Do you do from below knee to top of paw?
I wonder if I’m not using enough.

Not the best photo but it's the clearest I could find.

I start just below his knee and bring it to just above his main pad. I'll pop some tape on in bad weather as well just for some extra grip.
