Coo you should have nabbed her and told her there was a need for some serious training within the force! She may have got some brownie points for bringing it up!
I used to drive a very distinctive American car, not all the time, just happy days and holidays.
Driving home one afternoon, I spotted a Police patrol car behind me (not a panda, a motorway car), I watched my mirrors, signalled diligently, but the bugger was still there. Eventually I got home and backed onto the drive and said patrol car pulled up across my drive.
It turned out one of the Officers had seen my car about the place and loved it! I let him take it for a whizz round the block (in uniform).
They are not all jobsworths, this guy was a real enthusiast.
Years ago I led an alcoholic fuelled "jolly" round Richmond Park on Boxing Day. Didn't spot the mounted policewomen standing amongst the trees until we were passing; the sight of 10 nutty horses galloping past was too much for one of the police horses who had a wobbler and the rider came off. I got cautioned for speeding on a horse in a Royal Park!!!
