Stopper pad protection

My whippet keeps grazing his stopper pads quite badly. They then take quite a while to heal. Has anyone used these?

I haven't but my lab who splits and grazes her pads daily gets a good slathering of mushers paw wax before leaving the house and it has helped.

Yes, I have. They work ok but I used to wrap some tape around them to make sure they stayed on. Without tape they can work their way down the leg as the neoprene stretches.

They are quite popular on the Flyball circuit but haven’t needed them myself as yet *frantically touches wood*

I’ve also seen these which look quite good. My boy is constantly grazing them, he’ll also give himself carpet burn playing in the house. His other common place for cuts is his back legs below the hock. The joys of whippets 😂
