Ladies and gents! I have recently started competing with my horse....I have a beautiful IFOR Williams 511 and only ever take my girl out in it (one because she is rather large and two im too chicken to tow anyone elses horse!). is there anyone who tows and puts their saddle etc in the other partition of the trailer? How do you secure it? I know that they have the tack lockers that you can put in the trailers but my dressage saddle doesn't really fit in it! Anyone tried anything else?

I have always tried to avoid having anything others than the horses and their Haynets in the trailer. It's probably irrational, but I worry that if the trailer tips over, other stuff flying around will make a bad situation worse.

Obviously, I hope the chances of the trailer tipping over are slim, and if it did, I suppose a saddle Nd grooming kit wouldn't do much damage in comparison.

But I don't like rug racks in the horse compartment of lorries for same reason...just my thing I guess...

I used to have a 403 with the Ifor door mounted tack pack on it - it has plenty of space in it, I used to easily get a jumping and a dressage saddle in at the same time. It was really handy to have and didn't take up any space that would have ever been used for anything else.

Hi,
I use an IWT Tack pack...and I secure it with bungies front and back...it works great and I can fill it and wheel it from my tack room...and don't have to tidy out the car anymore :)
