Afternoon

I am looking for ideas on how best to store all my stuff in the back of my van horsebox.

We have a small area in the luton, but really only want stuff in there we don't always need to get too

I have two basic benches with storage in the back, which the lids lift up so not a huge amount of room in them.

All ideas welcome, as all i can think at the moment is a storage box!

What kind of things do you want to store in there? I don't tend to keep much in mine when it's not in use. My tack is on a trolley (rolltack) which I sit in the back and usually has my hat inside that. I take a grooming kit in a bag and put that into my storage cupboard, boots in a boot bag too. Any paperwork type stuff in the front with me. If I needed spare rugs I'd put that in the luton area.

I have a saddle rack and a couple of bridle racks, plus some coat hooks in mine.
Under the saddle rack I have a hanging organiser that takes my grooming kit, bridle numbers, dressage test folders, boot cleaners etc all easy to grab and stow away after use.
I keep my first aid kit in a box on the bench - again easy to grab in a hurry. Spare rugs (fleece and turnout) are on the luton.

I keep emergency spares under the front passenger seat - headcollars, ropes, gloves, crash hat, hi viz, spare irons & leathers - and a 1st aid kit for human use.
Side locker has buckets, water container(s), grooming kit, wash down stuff, spare rug.
Luton has horse 1st aid kit, a couple of spare rugs and spare wheel, otherwise nowt else unless am going away.
Back has tack (and spare bridle complete in seperate bag, with spare girth), riding gear in holdall, body protector in a bag, jackets in suit hanger bag, boots in bag, and assorted other small gubbins - and my ashtray :redface3:

I want to leave as much in the box as possible to minimize time loading up (i am always running late!!)

I already have a separate show grooming kit which i plan to leave in the box, along with all my show gear.

Millipops- Really like the idea of the hanging organizer. I can probably gang one from the back door

The Xmas Furry - really like the list of spares.

There is quite a lot of space behind the seats in the front, i just need to find a way of getting some hooks in there

I have a couple of saddle racks and a couple of bridle hooks in the back of mine. The things I need right before I tack up / get on and in laundry baskets either side of the back door (hat, gloves, whip, boots etc) - more just to keep them up together than anything else. They are pretty useful as anything kicking around can be just chucked in the general direction of a basket :)
