Never had bad experiences when it was stormy other than the one time the new uninhabited stable roof flew off as it wasn't bolted down properly, but my god yesterday was eventful! Stayed at my friends house and woke up at 8am to hear clip clopping past the front window which was odd as the horses were usually out the back...peeked out the window and 6 of the 9 horses were standing on the road peering back at us. Next thing I know I'm out with my friend in gale force winds and torrential rain in our jammies sprinting up the road trying to herd them back into the yard (see trying to catch a mini shetland who doesn't want to be caught...)
Turns out the wind blew down the main gate, a barn door open then the yards gate open and the horses decided they wanted to go on an adventure. Then spent the day fixing/changing rugs that had been trashed, doors being bolted back on and making new stables up, to say I'm tired is an understatement, all this happening with my horse tucked up in her stable in the barn at the yard oblivious to the outside conditions
