I havent been for years, Is it back in stow now? Didnt they move it too andoversford? Whats it like now? Used to be a lot of poor little youngsters for sale.

Blimey, not been for a few years, apart from it moving back to Stow, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME & FUEL!!!!!! Whats happened to the old stow fair with lots of horsey bargains? Just full of (if this offends then soz, tough!) gypsy/traveller/***** whatever they like to call themselves now, bling/trash stalls!!!! Will not b wasting a day off work to visit again!!

Oh what a shame - sorry not the good old traditional day out it used to be, the odd bargain and good people watching :-(

Andoversford Horse Fair was NOTHING to do with Stow Fair, Stow fair is a bi-annual traveller event and Andoversford Horse Fair was run by Taylor and Fletcher (the same people that sell houses in the Cotswolds and used to run the Sheep Market in Andoversford).

I didn’t go to the fair (Financial Year End, I’m not getting any time off for a while!) but was at my parents on Sunday and it was IMO far busier for travellers than usual, there were three young ponies and traps parked on our village green and I saw another being hammered up towards out village (about 6 miles from Stow).

Planning on going in October though.

You'd be better off going to the Cotswold sale at Andoversford, still loads of horsey stalls.

I thought Andoverford had closed?I got my lovely Arab Hinny from there.
Agree Stowe has nothing to do with it and has never left Stowe.
I went today after missing it for a few years and met some old friends.I took my camera with its newly charged batteries and the Darn thing wouldn't work! Some lovely horses there though specially in the bit between the wagons,some a bit on the fat size but beautifully turned out

The sale that was at Andoversford was brilliant, a really good day out. I believe it had to stop due to the trouble caused to the villagers by some of the 'visitors'.
Never been to Stow, don't really fancy it.

Andoversford was stopped years ago, when I was 14 I did work experience with a local vets and got to go and visit the sales with them, was good fun!
