am going to join BE in August/September time, to do one or two at the end of the season, when all PC eventing has finished.
I have been and will carry on doing Intermediate pony club eventing, which is 3"3ft. We have gone clear xcountry 2 out of 3 times, the 3rd being a rider error. she also has never got time penalties (is an optimum time, like BE i believe?). Am planning on doing about 5 more throughout the season at this height, as well as area Int.
So, if i join BE, should i do a couple of Intros first? or should i go straight to Pre novice? She jumps much better over bigger tracks, but BE is going to be very new to both of us so was wondering if it is best to do a small track to get us used to it?
